In answer to your curiosity regarding our 'slightly cosmic' investigations regarding life, the universe and everything, I'd like to share the following with you.

A thought is nothing but pure energy and our deepest being is much much more than just our physical appearance. The aesthetic and intrinsic beauty that we find in nature and our own perception of for instance a good photo, music and art is a universal/cosmic thing. Not to be going too deep into all these matters at this time, it is a combination of pure and sound mathematics, science, metaphysics, philosophy,  common sense and humor.
Our planet not only has a biosphere, a gravitational field and a 'techno-sphere' (containing all man made machines including satellites) but also its very own electro-magnetic field referred to as the Noosphere. Noo is Greek for Mind. It is, by analogy the 'thinking layer' of the planet.

As I somehow have always suspected we are on an evolutionary fast-track. The noosphere represents a major evolutionary alteration of human consciousness. This is a shift from atomized individual consciousness to the consciousness of a vast single entity, what might be referred to as the collective telepathic field of planet Earth. It is far more fantastic than it sounds, yet it is, at the same time, very down to earth material.
Part of my goal is to identify the qualities of the new evolutionary consciousness. Mystical contemplation of every kind, the definitions and explorations of cosmic consciousness, and the techniques of yoga and meditation are all providing clues as to the nature of the forthcoming evolutionary shift, the noosphere.
Jnana Yoga, the yoga of knowledge or wisdom, higher reason, logic, analytical and analogical thought and the ability to discriminate truth from falsehood is very helpful.
Another part of the clue providing fun is simply creating cocktails, chilling on oxygen and keeping my feet on the ground.

This shift, the advent of the noosphere, is imminent due to various factors of Earth’s and the Sun's evolution and biogeochemical mutations. My studies in environmental science and astro-biology provide me with a solid scientific base for this statement. Studies of various aboriginal cultures, religions and the global economical model confirm this.
Quantum mechanics tells us that things are not simply located in space and time. In that sense I have seen biology described as a chemical strategy for amplifying quantum mechanical indeterminacy into macro-physical systems called living organisms. A well put brain bender.

We speak of this change as the biosphere-noosphere transition, the the mutation of the life system of planet Earth into its next evolutionary stage. It is a more purely mental level of planetary consciousness. Far out! A planetary mind, something far beyond each of our little minds! But how can we grasp a consciousness greater than the highest consciousness which we can experience? How do we, as humans in our individualized consciousness, make the leap to planetary consciousness? And what does it mean, the planetarization of consciousness? 

There are the biological and biogeochemical aspects of our evolution into the noosphere, are a very interesting, but only one aspect and possible paradigm as to what is going on. There is also the philosophical mystic approach, helpful defining the future evolution from the standpoint of a comprehensive system of evolving states of consciousness.

I can only give some hints of the vastness of thought, to suggest in what way I anticipate the nature of noospheric consciousness. The perception of the Noosphere is set within a highly structured description of the nature of consciousness, mind, Supermind, and Divine Consciousness. It also defines the noosphere from a far more spiritual perspective and I feel it may be that this description of the noosphere is most necessary as an antidote to the final desacralized nature of historical materialism which now inundates the world with its violence and triviality. 

I am not satisfied with the notion of the Absolute as a static phenomenon. Most yogas or meditation systems do not admit of the possibility of a radical, evolutionary transformation of human consciousness. My experience of consciousness is an evolutionary momentum toward a higher supermental condition, which I, at the same time,  experience as a supramental descent. It makes me a radical evolutionary transformationalist or a prophessional evolutionist. To me, somehow, this is not surprising.

I trust that you believe me if I tell you that I tried and try very hard to find proof of the contrary, but it is a genuine fool proof design!
Intelligence is the quality of consciousness  that is always evolving toward a higher purpose. And I am not as stupid as I look (that would be rather difficult anyhow).
